the beginning of becoming

My first arrangement. The beginning of House of Nuray.

I didn’t start off with a plan.

House of Nuray began with a love of putting flowers in a vase and a curiosity about what might happen if I gave myself the space to learn them—to really look at them, work with them, and listen to what they were already trying to say.

My first arrangement was not perfect. And I don’t think it needed to be.

It taught me that flowers have their own language. They way they bend, bloom and stretch. One flower asks for space while another seems to want to gather close. The more I paid attention, the less I felt the need to make everything behave exactly as I’d imagined.

I started to understand that the beauty isn’t always in getting everything right.

Sometimes it’s in noticing.

That’s becoming something I want House of Nuray to hold onto as it grows: letting flowers lead, making space for what is already there, and creating with intention without taking away what makes each stem unique.

I am still learning. I am still becoming. And I think there is something beautiful about that too.

House of Nuray is named after my daughter, Soliana Nuray—a little reminder of the kind of life I want to build around the things I love: creativity, beauty, gathering, and making room for the moments that matter.

So this is the first page. Not a finished story. Just the beginning.

The art of paying attention.
